STEM Challenge in Action

Check out Mrs. Syrett's 2nd graders as they take the STEM challenge.  Here is what she shared with parents:
Our STEM challenge this week was to build the highest freestanding tower possible with 5 sheets of paper and 100 cm of masking tape.
       Heard around the room:
  • The more you fail the more you learn! (I love it when my lessons come from their mouths!!!)
  • I'm going to look around for some good ideas.  (Yes, we encourage our students to learn from each other!)
  • Lots of teamwork!
  • Lots of problem solving!
  • Lots of persistence!!!
