Staff Meeting @ 7:30 in the library: Please bring your book study book and be prepared to talk about Chapter 1. Grandpa Ippolito will be providing bagels for everyone. Here is a link to the agenda.
PGP Reminders: Please sign up for a time to meet with Liz and I in regards to your PGP. Also if you have not begun your plan for SLOs, that is a great topic to discuss in your PLC this week.
Early Dismissal Wednesday: Put this at the top of your parent emails. Parents should put any changes in dismissal plans in the PikMyKid app. Dismissal is at 1:40. AM Kindergarten is dismissed at 10:50 and PM Kindergarten begins at 11:30.
Buddy Teams: We will meet for our first buddy assembly and activity on Wednesday. We will begin calling right after Flyervision to come to the gym. We will call buddy classes at the same time so you can sit together in the gym. Please read this document for the activity to do when you return to one of your buddy classrooms. We are hoping the t-shirts will be ready but will keep you posted.
Learning Labs: We have moved the learning labs for all grades K-5 Thursday, September 21st. Topics we will be covering are MYON and “STEMifying” the classroom.
Staff Lounge: Just a little reminder to please clean up after yourselves in the lounge. It is appreciated!
Laptop Carts: Just a friendly reminder as your class is finished with the laptop cart, please pass it on to the teacher who is next on the Google calendar. Please remember to plug it in between each use.
From Ronni Zagora: The district will be conducting a book study of Better Than Carrots or Sticks: Restorative Practices for Positive Classroom Management for teachers, counselors, and administrators who are interested in learning more about restorative practices and how to apply them in your classroom and school. The district will provide the book, and three after-school meetings will take place throughout the fall semester for discussion and shared learning. Please notify Ronni Zagora (vzagora@lindberghschools.ws) if you would like to participate.
Grant's Farm Night-NOW FREE PARKING FOR TEACHERS
We are so excited to announce that teachers and their families will be able to park for FREE at our first ever Grant's Farm Night on September 27th from 5-9. There will be a DJ and glow sticks for kids in the courtyard, and food/beverages available for purchase. There will also be free adult beverage samples available for those 21 and older. I would like to encourage EVERYONE to sign up here for this event. It is such a fun time and a fun way to mingle with Concord friends and families. You will need to sign up no later than September 20th.
iPad Apps: If there are apps you'd like the district to purchase for your classroom iPads, please email Tara Sparks and Mariano Marin to make the request. They'll work together to review the resource and approve those apps in a timely manner in order to support student learning. Please note that there is a limited supply of money allocated for these purchases, so only request those that will be integral to your instruction.
Green & Gold Spirit Day: Lindbergh homecoming is next weekend with the parade on Thursday evening. To commemorate this event, we will have a green & gold spirit day on Thursday.
Learning walk: Dr. Sparks will be here on Monday afternoon for a learning walk.
MYON Update: Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop on MYON usage. I know many of you shared the details on how to log on with parents. This is a great tool for students to use at home as well.
Angie will be at a leadership meeting on Wednesday morning.
